Jimenez Deredia was born in Heredia, Costa Rica, October 4th, 1954. He studied architecture at the University of Florence and now lives and works near Carrara, close to the famous white marble. His artwork has been exhibited in major Museums and Art Galleries. His latest and most important project is the Statue of Saint Marcellin Champagnat collocated outside of the basilica of Saint Peter in the Vatican built by Renaissance genius Michelangelo Buonarroti.
